Stanford announces new programs to address affordability

University leadership announced a 3% special increase and On-site Employee Stipend, among other programs.

To address ongoing affordability challenges, and recognize the extraordinary contributions of employees, university leadership announced new programs and services as part of the Affordability Task Force (ATF) efforts, including a 3% special increase and On-site Employee Stipend.

3% Special Increase

Effective March 1, 2022, Stanford is providing eligible employees a 3% special increase to their actual base salary for their efforts in supporting the university’s mission while navigating a prolonged period of uncertainty. This special increase is separate from the annual salary program in the fall. For complete details, including eligibility, visit the 3% Increase page.

On-site Employee Stipend Policy

Eligible staff employees whose work is performed 100% on-site and who do not have the flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote arrangement will receive a stipend of up to $125 per pay period, depending on Full-Time Equivalence. The stipend will remain in effect Feb. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022. For eligibility and other details, visit the On-Site Employee Stipend page.
