COVID-19 Workplace Guide
Guidance on employee workplace policies, resources and assistance
COVID-19 has altered nearly every aspect of our workplace. To adapt to these challenges, Stanford is continuously monitoring and modifying the university’s operations and practices. As campus activities resume, the safety of our community will continue to be the priority. For important and timely updates related to the pandemic, please visit Health Alerts.
Here, you’ll find information and guidance on COVID-19 employee workplace policies, resources and assistance, as well as health and workplace safety. To learn more about the stages of Stanford’s recovery, see Cardinal Recovery.
COVID-19 Governance
Early in the pandemic, the university established a governance structure of more than a dozen committees with representation from various schools/units to respond and manage the ongoing crisis. These committees include Emergency Operations Center, Communications, Medical Support, Human Resources, Research Continuity, Education Continuity, and others which report up to the Policy and Academic Policy groups.
As we look to the future, we recognize the impacts COVID-19 has had on the way we operate. In response to these changes, the university is taking the opportunity to create the future of work at Stanford by implementing flexible work options while maintaining the on campus experience that is so valuable. You can explore the university’s Flexible Work vision, timeline, tools and more in the Flexible Work section of Cardinal at Work, which will be updated over time.
If you’ve been asked to return to a Stanford worksite, please review the Safe Return to the Workplace section to prepare for your return to on-site work.
