Below are milestones related to ACA-Eligible Open Enrollment and IRS Form 1095-C:

October | ACA-Eligible Enrollment | Look Back Reporting: All temporary, casual, and student employees are “measured” for ACA Full-Time status based on service hours in the prior 12 months. |
October | ACA-Eligible Enrollment | Notifications sent to ACA-eligible employees: Annual Open Enrollment details are provided to ACA-eligible employees. |
Mid-October to Mid-November | ACA-Eligible Enrollment | ACA-Eligible Open Enrollment period: ACA-eligible employees make medical elections online at My Benefits |
December | Form 1095-C | ACA 1095 Portal: Benefits-eligible employees are sent emails as reminders to log into the ACA 1095 Portal to select electronic delivery option for the 1095-C. |
January 1 | ACA-Eligible Enrollment | Elected ACA Plan medical coverage is effective. |
March | Form 1095-C | IRS Form 1095-C Delivery: Form 1095-C will be provided by the beginning of March. Benefits-eligible employees may elect to receive Form 1095 electronically (e-delivery), by logging into the ACA 1095 Portal and electing the delivery preference by Jan. 1. All others will receive the 1095 by U.S. Mail. |
