What is one fun fact about you?
When I was MUCH younger, I had a sneaker collection of 375 pairs of shoes. Fun? Maybe. Irresponsible? Absolutely!
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
Having a role in an organization that contributes to the improvement of the world.
Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.
I'm proud of being a part of the Stanford Electronic Research Administration (SeRA) system project team, and continuing to collaborate with others to administer and improve SeRA to support Stanford's research enterprise.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
Completing an audit sample of 355 sponsored projects and eliminating the closeout backlog. Not the ideal problem to have, but it was an amazing result by a work group of 12 people.
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
Build relationships and learn about the roles and functions across Stanford. There are so many opportunities to meet people who are willing to exchange ideas and improve processes and culture at Stanford. At the same time, be patient, change takes time and collaboration. Great things always take time.
