What is one fun fact about you?

I completed nine marathons including the Boston marathon and I trained by running the dish trail countless times.

What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?

I like working at Stanford because the campus is so beautiful with many open spaces and hidden gems.

Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.

I'm proud to have created the Pauling Teaching Award for graduate students, recognizing excellence in teaching chemistry.

What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?

I've enjoyed attending Stanford football games over the years, especially with my family and friends. I've had season tickets for over 30 years.

Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?

I'd advise a new hire to make an effort to network with colleagues across departments.
